WWC40 -- Heidi's Anything goes with Holly

Welcome to our new Watercooler Wednesday challenge.  This week we feature a challenge that everyone loves to enter: "anything goes".  But just  to make it interesting, Heidi Weaver who has designed the challenge added "with holly".  What does that mean?    Simply put, it is whatever you want it to be.  Share a new technique or an old one.  Share a 3-D project.  Share a mixed media project.  Share a card, a scrapbook page, new wall decor.  Make it totally your own without a sketch direction, a color direction or a theme/inspiration direction.  BUT it has to have holly somewhere, whether you stamp it, cut it out, punch it out, use a die, etc.  There has to be holly in your project.

As a result of this "anything goes" theme, you will see that every project created by the Watercooler Artists is different.  You can see from fussy-cut holly branch and the creations of the other Watercooler Artists that there are as many ways to do "anything goes" as there are people.  Look closely at some of the creations.  There is holly on each one but sometimes you have to look for more than the mere image.  For details on how Heidi and the other Watercooler Artists created their projects, just click on the name underneath and you will be taken to that blog post.

And now it's your turn.  You can join us by linking up your creation with the InLinkz at the bottom of this challenge.

Remember:
          1.  This must be a new project---no back-linking to a previous post.
          2.  You must link your project back to our challenge (details at top of page).
          3.  You must link directly to your post, not simply your general blog.
          4.  Please link to no more than 4 challenges, including ours.
          5.  Have fun!

Please use the link-up below to share your project.  This Linky will close on Monday, November 2nd at noon, Mountain Standard Time.

WWC39 - The Winners

It's that time again.  Today we pick our winners.  Yes, the number of participants was down this week but that doesn't change our choosing a winner plus a runner-up.  On to the voting.

The cards linked up this week were a breath of Springtime.  Of course the colours in the challenge evoke more of a Spring feel than Fall, don't they?   The artistry of our entries made choosing our winners very difficult this week.

Our winner this week is Betty Lee who created a stunning emboss resist Swallowtail card.  You could almost imagine it taking flight from the card.  Congratulations for "rocking the Watercooler" this week, Betty.

Betty, we hope you'll display your winner's badge, shown below, proudly on your blog.

This is where we would announce the runner-up for the challenge.  With only three participants and the remaining two, Deborah Smart and Heather Hopson, having entered such lovely cards for the challenge, we are awarding you both an Honourable Mention badge.  We hope you'll display your badge, shown below, proudly on your blog.

We invite you all to participate in our next challenge, coming up tomorrow, October 28th.  Well done, all.  Your cards were exceptional for this challenge.

WWC39 -- Susan's Colour Challenge

Welcome to this week's Watercooler Wednesday challenge.  Susan Horr has provided us with a selection of colours for this challenge.  There are four colours but it's surprising how those same four colours can take so many different forms depending on who is inspired by them.

You'll see from the wonderful variety of cards our Watercooler Artists have created how different their inspirations have been.  We have everything from Baby cards to Thank you cards and all sorts of greetings in between.  And the styles, even though they all use the same colours, are so very varied.  As usual, you can click on the name under the card to go to the blog post and discover all the details about the products and creation of the card.  Let's begin with Susan's beautiful greeting card.

And now it's your turn.  You can join us by linking up your creation with the InLinkz at the bottom of this challenge.

WWC38 - The Winners

It's that time again.  Today we pick our winners.  Yes, the number of participants was down this week but that doesn't change our choosing a winner plus a runner-up.  On to the voting.

The cards linked up this week were so completely different.  Of course one of the reasons for that was Buffy's Tic-Tac-Toe challenge and the many combinations available with the choice of direction one made.

Our winner this week is Kathe Deck who created a wonderful snow globe shaker card.  Kathe's choice led her to the middle row of three which included a die cut, ribbon and glitter.  She nailed it and on top of it all, made her card a glittery shaker.  Congratulations for "rocking the Watercooler" this week, Kathe.

Kathe, we hope you'll display your winner's badge, shown below, proudly on your blog.

Our runner-up this week is Susie Nelson's wonderful snowflake card.  Susie chose the first vertical line and combined gold, die-cut and heat-embossing for her creation.

Susie, we hope you'll display your runner-up's badge, shown below, proudly on your blog.

Thank you Heather  for submitting your wonderful Christmas card.  It was very difficult to make the final choices for the winners.  Please remember to come back tomorrow (October 21st) for the new Watercooler Wednesday challenge and the wonderful creations by the Watercooler Artists.

WWC38 - Buffy's Tic-Tac-Toe Inspiration Challenge

Welcome to this week's Watercooler Wednesday challenge.  Buffy Cooper has provided us with our very first Tic-Tac-Toe challenge.  For those who have never tried one of these challenges, you're in for a treat.  Most people know how a Tic-Tac-Toe game is played:  you pick a line of three squares in a row which can be horizontal, vertical, or diagonal.  The only rule is that the squares must be three in a row.  If you have a look at Buffy's Tic-Tac-Toe diagram, you can see all the fun choices.

You'll see from the wonderful variety of cards our Watercooler Artists have created how different their choices have been.  The variations are simply incredible.  As usual, you can click on the name under the card to go to the blog post and discover all the details about the products and creation of the card.  Let's begin with Buffy's wonderful Christmas card.

And now it's your turn.  You can join us by linking up your creation with the InLinkz at the bottom of this challenge.

WWC37 - The Winners

It's that time again.  Today we pick our winners.  Yes, the number of participants was down this week but that doesn't change our choosing a winner plus a runner-up.  On to the voting.

The cards linked up this week were so completely different.  Yes, they all followed Jackie's sketch but that was their only similarity.

Our winner this week is Heather Hopson.  Her combination of colours, patterned Designer Paper and embossing made a wonderful frame around that adorable Dasher image.  Adding the sentiment on a slant to echo the diagonal of the sketch and having an additional Dasher inside the card were the perfect finishing touches.  Congratulations for "rocking the Watercooler" this week, Heather.

Heather, we hope you'll display your winner's badge, shown below, proudly on your blog.

Our runner-up this week is Susie Nelson's wonderful Baby card.  The colours aren't the usual "baby" colours but make a wonderful frame for the sweet handprint and sentiment.

Susie, we hope you'll display your runner-up's badge, shown below, proudly on your blog.

Thank you Betty for submitting your wonderful acrylic snowflake card.  It was very difficult to make the final choices for the winners.  Please remember to come back tomorrow (October 14th) for the new Watercooler Wednesday challenge and the wonderful creations by the Watercooler Artists.

WWC37 - Jackie's Sketch Challenge

Welcome to this week's Watercooler Wednesday challenge.  Jackie Susnik has provided us with a sketch for this challenge and it's surprising how the same sketch can take so many different forms depending on who is inspired by it.

You'll see from the wonderful variety of cards our Watercooler Artists have created how different their inspirations have been.  We have everything from Birthday cards to Thank you cards and Christmas cards.  And the styles, even though they all follow the same sketch, are so very varied.  As usual, you can click on the name under the card to go to the blog post and discover all the details about the products and creation of the card.  Let's begin with Jackie's beautiful Thank you card.

And now it's your turn.  You can join us by linking up your creation with the InLinkz at the bottom of this challenge.

WWC36 - The Winners!

Thank you, everyone, for supporting our challenge.  3-D challenges aren't for everyone.  They take a lot of thought and creativity (not that cards don't) and usually "eat up" a lot of product.  They are multi-dimensional, after all.  Kudos to those who decided to try the challenge.

It's not easy to pick the winner.  We pride ourselves in checking out all the participating projects and casting our votes.  Leaving it to chance and simply drawing names just doesn't seem right when everyone has worked so hard with their creations.  Sometimes the voting gets very close.  We have, after all, attracted some extremely talented participants.

This week's winner is Kathe Deck.  What a great idea, to create those stylish and colourful cutlery pouches.  The embossing and those fancy buckles put the pouches over the top.  Congratulations, Kathe, for "rocking the Watercooler" this week.

Kathe, we hope you'll display your winner's badge, shown below, proudly on your blog.

Our runner-up this week is Vicki's Christmas Folder.  She's been making these for herself and for classes for six years now.  Check it out and you'll understand why.

Vicki , we hope you'll display your runner-up's badge, shown below, proudly on your blog.

Thank you Susie, Heather and Penny for submitting your wonderful 3-D projects.  The quality of your creations made picking the winners very difficult.  Please remember to come back tomorrow (October 7th) for the new Watercooler Wednesday challenge and the wonderful creations by the Watercooler Artists.
