WWC36 -- Special 3-D Challenge

As we've announced earlier, our challenges are going to be a rotation of four set challenges per month, occurring each Wednesday, hence the name change to Watercooler Wednesday.  But what about those extra Wednesdays that crop up here and there?  After all, weeks are not a set four weeks to a month.  There is always going to be a month with five Wednesdays every once in a while.  Well, for those extras, we're planning on having a 3-D Challenge.

Surprise, this Wednesday is our extra Wednesday for the month of September.  And so, yes, this is going to be a 3-D Challenge.  As you go through the list of Watercooler Artists and check out their wonderful projects, you'll see such a great variety including treat boxes, luminaries, table centre-pieces, ornaments, etc.  There really is no limit, as long as the project is 3-D.

And now, in the order in which they were submitted, the Watercooler Artists present their interpretation of 3-D.

And now it's your turn.  You can join us by linking up your 3-D creation with the InLinkz at the bottom of this challenge.

Remember:
          1.  This must be a new project---no back-linking to a previous post.
          2.  You must link your project back to our challenge (details at top of page).
          3.  You must link directly to your post, not simply your general blog.
          4.  Please link to no more than 4 challenges, including ours.
          5.  Have fun!

Please use the link-up below to share your project.  This Linky will close on Monday, October 5th at noon,  Mountain Daylight Savings Time.

WWC35 - The Winners!

We're continuing to get a great response to our new day and new format.  Thank you, everyone, for supporting our challenge.

This week's "anything goes" challenge attracted a nice, large number of participants.  Good thing we added that runner's-up badge.  Even so, it was difficult to narrow it down to two top choices.  We're attracting some extremely talented participants.

For our winner this week, the Watercooler Artists have chosen Penny Hanuszak as the winner who "rocked the watercooler" with her wonderful Fall Mantle Display.   Aren't her standing banners stunning?

Penny, we hope you'll display your winner's badge, shown below, proudly on your blog.

Our runner-up this week is Gail Allen's beautiful card showcasing the new Wonderland set and using the bokeh technique.  Great work, Gail.

Gail, we hope you'll display your runner's-up badge, shown below, proudly on your blog.

Thank you Beth, Kat, Lynn, Kim, Renee, Betty, Heather, Kathe, and Vicki for submitting your wonderful projects.  The quality of the linked up projects made picking the winners very difficult.  Please remember to come back tomorrow (September 30th) for the new Watercooler Wednesday challenge and the wonderful creations by the Watercooler Artists.

WWC35 -- Marsha's "Anything Goes" Challenge

Welcome to our new challenge.  This week we feature Marsha's "anything goes" challenge.  What does that mean?    Simply put, it is whatever you want it to be.  Share a new technique or an old one.  Share a 3-D project.  Share a mixed media project.  Share a card, a scrapbook page, new wall decor.  Make it totally your own without a sketch direction, a color direction or a theme/inspiration direction.  You want to do a birthday, anniversary, sympathy card, etc?  The possibilities are without end.

As a result of this "anything goes" theme, you will see that every project created by the Watercooler Artists is different.  You can see from Marsha's awesome butterflies and the creations of the other Watercooler Artists that there are as many ways to do "anything goes" as there are people.  For details on how Marsha and the other Watercooler Artists created their projects, just click on the name underneath and you will be taken to the blog post.

And now it's your turn.  You can join us by linking up your creation with the InLinkz at the bottom of this challenge.

Remember:
          1.  This must be a new project---no back-linking to a previous post.
          2.  You must link your project back to our challenge (details at top of page).

WWC34 -- The Winner

We're continuing to get a great response to our new day and new format.  Thank you, everyone, for supporting our challenge.

Choosing the winner continues to be difficult with all the participants stepping up their game and producing such awesome cards.  We have, therefore, added a runner-up badge to recognize the growing numbers of participants and the great quality of their cards.

This week the Watercooler Artists have chosen Lynn Starzl's wonderful ombre sleigh ride card as the winner who "rocked the watercooler".  I'm sure you'll agree that Lynn's card is a wonderful example of this technique.

Lynn, we hope you'll display your winner's badge, shown below, proudly on your blog.

Our runner-up this week is Renee Torres' beautiful card showcasing the new Wonderland set with an ombre background.  Great work, Renee.

Renee, we hope you'll display your runner's-up badge, shown below, proudly on your blog.

Thank you Susie, Vicki, Kathe, Heather and Penny for submitting your beautiful cards.  The quality of the linked up cards made picking the winners very difficult.  Please remember to come back tomorrow (September 23rd) for the new Watercooler Wednesday challenge and the wonderful creations by the Watercooler Artists.

WWC34 -- Jean's Colour Challenge

Welcome to our new challenge.  This week we feature Jean's Colour Challenge---with a twist.  What does that mean?  Jean has put together a challenge within a challenge.  For this challenge, you get to pick your colour (that's right, I said colour---singular) and then use it in an Ombre Effect.  If you've never tried the ombre effect, you'll get all sorts of ideas from the cards provided by the Watercooler Artists.  If you've tried the ombre effect and love it, we invite you to blow us out of the water with your creation.

The eggs in the photo are just a sampling of colours that can be used.  Check out the colours you have available in your stash and go from there.  What we're looking for is an ombre effect within your card.  You can see from Jean's awesome card and those of the other Watercooler Artists that there are many different ways to use the ombre technique.  For details on how the Watercooler Artists created their cards, just click on the name under the card and you will be taken to the blog post.

And now it's your turn.  You can join us by linking up your creation with the InLinkz at the bottom of this challenge.

Remember:
          1.  This must be a new project---no back-linking to a previous post.
          2.  You must link your project back to our challenge (details at top of page).

WWC33 -- The Winner!

We're continuing to get a great response to our new day and new format.  Thank you, everyone, for supporting our challenge.

Choosing the winner continues to be difficult with all the participants stepping up their game and producing such awesome cards.  In the end, Penny's wonderful card squeaked out the win by a narrow margin.  Well done, Penny!

Isn't Penny's card beautiful?  But, wait!  There were so many other beautiful cards.  (This is where it almost came down to throwing in the towel and giving up picking a winner.)  Clearly we had to check out the whole of each card.  And while many of the others had also been stamped inside, Penny's went one further.

From this angle you can see the surprise inside the card.  Those ornaments are stamped on both sides.  Awesome, right?  And so worthy of being our winner for this week's challenge.  Congratulations, Penny.  We invite you to post the Watercooler Challenge Winner's badge, shown below, on your blog.

Thank you Sheri, Marty, Heather, Wanda, Vanessa and Susie for submitting your beautiful cards.  The quality of the linked up cards made picking a winner very difficult.  Please remember to come back tomorrow (September 16th) for the new Watercooler Wednesday challenge and the wonderful creations by the Watercooler Artists.

WWC33 -- Bev's Photo Inspiration Challenge

Welcome to our new challenge.  This week Bev has provided us with a Photo Inspiration Challenge.  What does that mean?  It means you get to look at Bev's awesome photo and take inspiration from the colours, the composition, the individual objects in the photo or anything else that inspires you to create a card for the challenge.

WWC33 - Bev's Photo Inspiration

Aren't the colours in the photo wonderful?  If you look closely, there is even some silver in that gorgeous chandelier.  Think of the infinite varieties of cards you could create using this photo as your inspiration.  Below, you'll see Bev's beautiful card as well as those created by the other Watercooler Artists.  Some have used the colours alone as their inspiration, some have used the flowers, some the geometric shapes.  Their cards should get your creative juices flowing and encourage you to link your own card up to our challenge.

And now it's your turn.  You can join us by linking up your creation with the InLinkz at the bottom of this challenge.

Remember:
          1.  This must be a new project---no back-linking to a previous post.

WWC32 -- The Winner!

What a great response we had to our newly formatted challenge!  We were really blown away by the gorgeous cards everyone shared with us in only one week.  Choosing the winner this time was incredibly difficult.  At this rate we may have to consider picking a runner-up as well.  But back to picking this week's winner.  It was by a very narrow margin that the Watercooler Artists chose Betty Lee's card over the others.

In the end it was the versatility of Betty Lee's card that tipped the scales.  It could so easily be used as a masculine card or be an anniversary card or elegant birthday card.

Congratulations, Betty Lee.  We invite you to post the Watercooler Challenge Winner's badge, shown below, on your blog.

Thank you Kathe, Heather, Penny, Sheri and Wanda for submitting your beautiful cards.  The quality of the linked up cards made picking a winner very difficult.  Please remember to come back tomorrow (September 9th) for the new Watercooler Wednesday challenge and the wonderful creations by the Watercooler Artists.

WWC32 -- Kath's Sketch Challenge

Welcome to our brand new challenge day!  You'll have noticed the new name as well.  After a year and a half of holding our Watercooler Challenge on Sundays, we knew it was time for a change.  Wednesday seemed like a great option.  Nothing like a good challenge to get over "hump day", right?  And with the change to the new day, changing our name just seemed natural.  We hope you enjoy the new day and our change to a weekly challenge.  It's a brand new adventure for us all.

WWC32 -- Kath's Sketch

This week we are featuring Kath Ricks' sketch challenge.  The variety of cards which our Watercooler Artists created for the challenge is just wonderful.  It should give you some good ideas.  As usual, you can click on the name under the card to go to the blog post and discover all the details about the products and creation of the card.  Let's begin with Kath's stunningly beautiful card.
