WCC31 - Heidi's Sketch Challenge

Welcome to our new Watercooler Challenge.  Everyone loves a sketch challenge.  All one has to do is choose the colours and Designer Paper, follow the sketch, and a card is made.  Simple, right?  Well you'll get a chance to see how many ways the same sketch can be interpreted as you look through the ones created by our Watercooler Artists.

To begin with, Heidi has created her card using some old favourites and some new products as well.  For all the information on products and tools, you can click on Heidi's name below her card and check out her blog post.  In fact, if you click on the names of any of the Watercooler Artists, you will immediately be taken to that blog and can check out the details of the card.

Remember, when you create your own card for this sketch challenge, you can turn the sketch in any direction and make changes to the shapes as long as the basic sketch is still recognizable.

And now it's your turn.  You can join us by linking up your creation with the InLinkz at the bottom of this challenge.

Remember:
          1.  This must be a new project---no back-linking to a previous post.
          2.  You must link your project back to our challenge (details at top of page).
          3.  You must link directly to your post, not simply your general blog.
          4.  Please link to no more than 4 challenges, including ours.
          5.  Have fun!

Please use the link-up below to share your project.  This Linky will close on Monday, August 31st. at noon,  Mountain Daylight Savings Time.

NOTE:  You'll notice that this is not the usual length of our challenges.  Beginning September 2nd, we're changing to a new day: Wednesday; a new format: weekly; and a new name:  Watercooler Wednesdays.

No Winner This Week!

There won't be a winner announced this week because there were only two entries and we require three in order to have an official winner.  Although, we are not picking someone, I think both entries are winners!  Susie and Kathe did an awesome job with Susan's special 3-D Challenge.  Thanks to both of you for participating.

Our next challenge will be tomorrow, Sunday, August 23rd.  It will be a sketch challenge this time.  Come check out the participating artist's creations.  We hope you will join us and link your own card using this sketch.  See you on Sunday!

WCC30 -- Susan's 3-D Challenge

Welcome to our new challenge.  This one is brought to you by Susan Horr, a long-term member of the Watercooler Artists.  Susan has put together a terrific special 3-D challenge for us.  The challenge is wide open for any type of 3-D project.

Of course there are so many possibilities.   Check out the Watercooler Artists' creations and then think about what type of 3-D project you'd like to share for this challenge.  It can be a card, a box, a bag, or any other 3-D project you can imagine.  We're looking forward to seeing what you create.

To start off challenge WCC29, here is Susan's 3-D project.  Isn't it wonderful how Susan has created this centerpiece which can be used for each special birthday during the first few years of a baby's life?  You can find out more details explaining how this project was created by clicking on Susan's name just under her project.  This also applies to the other 3-D projects presented by the remaining Watercooler Artists.

And now it's your turn.  You can join us by linking up your creation with the InLinkz at the bottom of this challenge.

Remember:

WCC29 -- The Winner!

We had some wonderful submissions for our special folds challenge.  The quality makes it very difficult to choose a winner.  After much deliberation, the Watercooler Artists agreed on a winner. Congratulations to Kathe Deck.

Kathe's card is a wonderful example of a special folds card.  She has taken the familiar easel card and created something very special:  the twisted easel card.  The finished card is beautifully crafted and unique.  Congratulations, Kathe and thank you for joining the challenge.

Below is our Watercooler Challenge Winner's badge which we invite you to display on your blog.

Thank you Penny and Susie for submitting your beautiful cards.  The quality of the linked up cards made picking a winner very difficult.  Please remember to come back tomorrow (August 9th) for the new challenge and the wonderful creations by the Watercooler Artists.
